Lucky Chance Buff
Buff was the first pony to join NPEC in the year 2000. The Personal Ponies’ program donated Buff to NPEC as a two- year- old with the sole mission of putting smiles on the faces of children who are differently abled. Since joining the farm, he has accomplished what he set out to do and loves his work.
Just A Little Athena
Athena is a Personal Pony who was born on this farm on May 8, 2003. She is very smart and personable, making her a star at performing tricks. Because of her intellect she is named after Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom.
Known as Olay, this little mare has a long career history as a therapy horse. Born in 1993, she serves as a personal pony through Personal Ponies of Michigan, and is a pro at creating magic in peoples lives.
Sam I Am
Sam is a Personal Pony who was born on May 10, 1999. His gentle disposition makes him a favorate for first- time participants to our programs. There is a story told about a carrot tattoo he sports on his back leg.
Our resident mule is identified by her beautiful ears. In June of 2000, Wilma was born from a pony mother and a donkey father thus making her a mule. Sometimes stubborn as mule, Wilma can challenge her handlers. However, participants have found that once you have established trust with Wilma, you have a friend for life.
Fiddler joined our heard in June of 2014. This beautiful Arabian - Lipizzaner mare has adjusted well to her new position as a therapy horse. Born in 1999, she has scored the perfect retirement job. A big thank-you to Mary Kennedy for her donation of our new friend.
Hunka Niks Boy
On May 24, 1998, the first horse on the farm, Nikki, gave birth to a beautiful black and white colt, Boy. Boy has grown to love his work on the farm and has become the round pen champion. His pictures show a soft eye and gentle nature when working with equine center participants.
Shadows of Mahogany
Shadow is an Arabian horse who was born on June 10, 1997. Donated to the program in 2008 , he has proven himself to be a wonderful therapy and lesson horse due to his gentle dispostion and training. In his pictures you often see his silly, fun- loving personality.
Nanna, a Norwegian Fjord, was born on May 22, 1993. She was purchesed to join the NPEC team of horses in 2010. Her small stocky stature, gentle disposition, and training both under saddle and harness has made her a star with all.
WR Hollywood Kiss
With National Show Horse breeding, Hollywood was shown saddle seat in her younger years. Born April 10,1992, she has slowed down, however, she still requires an expirenced rider. Hollywood provides an excellent challenge for those who are ready to advance in their horsemanship skills.
Pioneer's Kiss & Tell
Kiss was born on May 10, 2004. She received her beautiful gray color from her mother, Hollywood. Often Kiss will show her mischevious nature by weaving through fences to join the herd of her choice.
Rebel Scooper Man
Rebel was called home on December 18, 2014. He now grazes in the pastures of his maker.
